1000 Redwood Tree Planting Fundraiser
In May 2026, we planted 16,640 native trees in 25 acres at the entrance of the Vedanta Retreat Centre to increase the forest at our Retreat Centre to 75 acres. Total surrounding forest will become 175 acres.
To create a beautiful perimeter and a corridor from the main entrance we will plant 1000 Redwood trees. The trees will be planted in three rows along the main driveway and boundary covering a distance of approximately 1 km.
Redwood trees are known for their strength, longevity, and grandeur, symbolising endurance and spiritual growth. Over time this will create a majestic Redwood avenue, enhancing the natural beauty, serenity, and spiritual atmosphere of the Ashrama.
